1. Introduction

Gael Form Ltd ("Gael Form," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website www.gaelform.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your data. Gael Form is a formwork manufacturer headquartered at Ballivor, Co. Meath, C15 HK09, Ireland. We serve customers in Ireland, the UK, mainland Europe, Canada, and the United States. As an Irish company, we process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Acts 1988 to 2018.

3. Information we collect

3.1 Information you provide directly

We collect personal data you give us through the following:

  • Contact form - Your name, email address, phone number, company name, and the details of your inquiry.

  • Careers / job applications - Your name, email, phone number, CV or resume, and any other information you include in an application. This may be submitted via a dedicated careers page or the general contact form.

  • Email newsletter - If you sign up for our mailing list, we collect your email address and any other details you provide at sign-up. Our newsletters are sent via Squarespace Email Campaigns and/or Mailchimp.

  • Phone or email inquiries - If you call or email us directly, we may record your name, contact details, and what you asked about.

3.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, some data is collected automatically:

  • Squarespace analytics - Our hosting platform uses first-party cookies to collect aggregate, anonymous usage data: page views, visitor counts, traffic sources, and general geographic region. This does not identify you personally.

  • LinkedIn Insight Tag - We use the LinkedIn Insight Tag, a small piece of code that allows us to measure the effectiveness of our LinkedIn advertising campaigns and understand visitor demographics in aggregate. LinkedIn may set cookies on your device. You can opt out of LinkedIn advertising cookies at www.linkedin.com/psettings/guest-controls/retargeting-opt-out.

  • Google Tag Manager and Google Ads conversion tracking - We may use Google Tag Manager to run a Google Ads conversion tracking tag. This measures whether someone who clicked one of our ads then took an action on the Site, such as submitting a form or calling us. Google may set cookies to record these conversions. We do not use remarketing or retargeting to show you ads after you leave the Site.

  • Device and browser data - Standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring URL is collected automatically by our hosting platform and analytics tools.

3.3 Information we do not collect

We do not collect sensitive personal data through the Site. That means no financial account details, payment card numbers, health records, PPS numbers, National Insurance numbers, or government-issued IDs. The Site does not process payments.

4. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

Under the GDPR, we must have a lawful basis for processing your personal data. We rely on the following:

  • Legitimate interests - We process contact form inquiries, phone/email inquiries, and analytics data on the basis of our legitimate business interest in responding to potential customers and improving our Site. We have assessed that this processing does not override your rights and freedoms.

  • Consent - Where you sign up for our email newsletter, we process your email address on the basis of your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any newsletter or contacting us directly.

  • Pre-contractual steps - When you request a quote or inquire about our products and services, we process your data as necessary to take steps at your request before potentially entering into a contract.

  • Legal obligation - We may process data where required to comply with a legal obligation, such as tax or employment law.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties.

We share data only in these limited situations:

  • Business transfers - If Gael Form is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may transfer as part of that transaction. We will notify you via the Site if that happens.

8. International data transfers

Some of the service providers we use (Google, LinkedIn, Mailchimp) are based in the United States. Where your personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place. These providers rely on mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, or equivalent safeguards, to protect your data during transfer.
