Formwork FAQs: What Clients Ask (and What They Should)
July 25th, 2025
If you are the manager of a construction project, there are multiple questions surrounding formwork that can impact your schedule, costs and safety. In order to remove this uncertainty for our clients, Gael Form speaks to all types of site personnel from buyers to engineers on a daily basis and answers the same type of questions that come up time and time again.
So we have put together the most important ones, not just the most common, in a collection that should give the most value to you the next time you are thinking about moving forward with a formwork system.
Q: What type of formwork systems does Gael Form offer? And what is the right one for me?
A: Gael Form supplies a complete range of formwork systems for different build needs. Our core systems are our DMP and TPS options, along with our lightweight panels designed for speed and easy manual handling, FrameLite. When looking to discover what is the best system for your needs we encourage clients to look deeply into the specific aspects of their project. This is where our team can take your spec and provide you with the best solution.
Q: Is Gael Form’s equipment compatible with what I already have on site?
A: Yes, this is a big value point in our offering. All of our formwork systems are designed for universal compatibility. This means that our solutions will seamlessly integrate with what you are currently using, enhancing and maximising what you already have invested.
Q: Can I rent instead of buy? How do I know what makes the most sense to do?
A: Yes, Gael Form offers a full rental service of all formwork panels, edge protection and accessories. Rental tends to be the best option for one-off or short term projects. When deciding what makes the most sense for a client, we will help them evaluate the real cost of ownership for them and all the different factors that should be considered such as usage intensity, storage etc. From this, the option that makes the most commercial sense usually shows itself.
Q: Where do Gael Form manufacture their products? And how do they handle delivery?
A: All of our systems are manufactured at our ISO9001 certified facility in Ballivor, County Meath in the heart of Ireland. Our 12,000 sqm production site includes CNC machining, robotic welding, laser cutting and more. Once your system is ready to go, we handle all the logistics to get it delivered onto site. We don’t rely on third-party logistics, which means we can confidently commit to delivery windows, keeping your project timelines on track.
Q: What kind of support can I expect once my equipment is on site?
A: This is an important question as it emphasises how much Gael Form values our client relationships. Once your formwork system is delivered to site, our technical team is on-hand to guide you through setup and to answer any questions that you may have. If you have opted for a custom design we’ll help support you throughout its implementation.
Every project is different, but these questions above are a great place to start. Gael Form is here to help you plan smarter and move faster, getting the most value from your formwork investment. Whether you have been building for decades or are just starting off, we’ll make sure to help you ask the right questions and give you the right answers. Get in touch: info@gaelform.com
